Internationalschools.brussels: the independent reference since 2013

Internationalschools.brussels is the independent information platform specialising in international schools in Brussels. For over 12 years, we have been helping expat families, residents, and future arrivals identify, compare, and choose the international school that best fits their children and their situation.

A platform born out of a real need

In 2013, the site’s founder – himself faced with the complexity of Brussels’ international school landscape – decided to build the resource he wished had existed. What you’re reading today is the result of over 12 years of continuous work on this single subject.
The site launched under the domain internationalschoolsinbrussels.be, with a clear mission: make Brussels’ international school landscape transparent, accessible, and up-to-date for families arriving from abroad.

Over the years, the platform has become a trusted gateway for parents seeking:

  • an English-speaking, French-speaking, bilingual, or multilingual school in Brussels,
  • clear, practical information on curricula, tuition fees, teaching methods, and languages of instruction,
  • open day listings and information sessions from the schools themselves.

In 2024, the site migrated to its current address internationalschools.brussels — a symbolic step that marks the continuation of over 10 years of expertise, with a faster structure, improved mobile navigation, and stronger search visibility.

What we do in practice

We list and continuously update the profiles of 29 international schools in Brussels and the surrounding area, spread across 42 campuses: curricula, school levels, languages of instruction, tuition fees, class sizes, extracurricular activities, and contact details. All information is verified directly with the schools, many of which contact us regularly to keep their data current.

Our platform covers all curricula available in Brussels: International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge International Curriculum, European Baccalaureate, National Curriculum of England, International Curriculum (IPC), as well as Belgian, French, German, American, and Japanese education systems.

Since 2025, the site also features a bilingual interactive map listing all 42 campuses of international schools in and around Brussels, filterable by curriculum – a unique tool for visually locating and comparing the region’s school offering at a glance.

A local tool with a global reach

Every month, thousands of visitors access our site from Belgium, but also from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, and many other countries. We support families before they relocate, while they search for a school, and after they arrive in Brussels.
Our platform is cited and recommended by recognised institutions and media in Belgium and across Europe:
