Internationalschools.brussels is an independent information platform specialising in international schools in Brussels. Since 2013, it has helped expatriate families, residents and newcomers understand the international school landscape, compare schools and identify those that best meet their children’s needs.

Why this site exists

When a family arrives in Brussels, navigating the international school landscape can quickly become complex. Education systems differ, information is scattered across school websites, and comparing curricula, languages of instruction, school levels and tuition fees requires considerable research.

In 2013, the founder of the site, having faced this difficulty himself, decided to bring this information together in one place. The site was initially launched under the domain internationalschoolsinbrussels.be. Run from Brussels, it has remained focused ever since on the same subject: international schools in Brussels and the surrounding area.

In May 2025, the platform moved from its historic address to Internationalschools.brussels. This change of domain did not create a new site: Internationalschools.brussels is the direct continuation of the platform created in 2013, with a modernised structure and new search and comparison tools.

Internationalschools.brussels lists and regularly updates profiles for 29 international schools in Brussels and the surrounding area, across 42 campuses.

Each profile brings together the main information families need: curricula and diplomas, school levels, languages of instruction, tuition fees, class sizes, extracurricular activities, location, contact details and practical information.

How is the information verified?

Information is verified using schools’ official sources and information provided directly by the schools. Admissions, communications and management teams regularly send us updates concerning programmes, tuition fees, admissions and open days.

Profiles are also reviewed to identify changes published on schools’ official websites and documents. When a school reviews, confirms or directly updates the information in its profile, this verification may be indicated on the relevant page.

School information can change throughout the year. Schools and families can report information that has become incorrect or outdated. Any change is checked against an official source or with the school concerned before being updated.

Internationalschools.brussels is independent of the schools it presents. The platform does not belong to any school, school network or school placement agency.

Some schools subscribe to visibility packages that contribute to the funding, maintenance and development of the platform. These packages may provide partner schools with additional visibility on the site. Partner status does not, however, influence the factual information published: programmes, school levels, languages of instruction, tuition fees and other practical information are verified using official sources and information provided by the schools.
