BEPS expansion: a unified new campus for Brussels’ international school
BEPS International School in Brussels has announced its expansion with the acquisition of the Lycée Molière building.
This building is directly connected to BEPS’ current primary school premises, which means the expanding BEPS secondary school will soon be located on the same site as the early years and primary sections — where the BEPS story began in 1972.
The transformation of the new building will allow BEPS to design innovative, authentic, and engaging learning spaces aligned with its educational vision.

Currently occupied by Lycée Molière, the building will undergo major renovations to enable BEPS to educate future generations.
The historical façade of the building will be preserved, while the interior will be transformed into dynamic learning environments.
To fully support the implementation of IB programmes, upgrades to the property will include a science lab, an art and design studio, and a creative workspace where students can explore, design, take part in workshops, be challenged, and inspire each other.
BEPS plans to relocate its entire secondary section to the same site as its early years and primary departments for the 2022–2023 academic year.
Currently, the BEPS secondary school is located at Avenue Bel Air 91, Uccle.
“We are passionate about education and, as board members, we constantly strive to improve our school.
We strongly believe these campus upgrades will provide wonderful opportunities for our students and ensure they benefit from high-quality learning environments.”
BEPS Board Members, Christian Clivaz & Poul Sorensen
“We need a new building because our secondary section is growing. This location is perfect and will allow all three sections — early years, primary, and secondary — to come together under one roof, uniting our school community.
We also want to shape the building to reflect our vision. To inspire students to follow their passion and take ownership of their learning, we need spaces that mirror the way modern companies and coworking hubs function.
We want agile use of space to encourage collaboration. This will enhance learning and create community exchange with professionals.”
School Director, Pascale Hertay
“The expansion will bring our secondary school and administrative offices to the same location as our beautiful early years and primary buildings, close to the university and forest — an extension of our garden.
With the growth of our secondary section, BEPS International School will welcome students from 2.5 to 18 years old.
Our goal is to reach the full capacity of 450 students in the coming years. Despite the additional space, BEPS will retain its family atmosphere, which we are so proud of.”
Director of Finance and Administration, Charlotte Van Brussel
