The British School of Brussels named “British International School of the Year” 2022 at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards

The BSB was recognised for the school’s remarkable work — in particular, its wide range of transformative and innovative projects, as well as its commitment to putting values into action on a daily basis.
The award especially honours BSB’s efforts to be a force for educational good, demonstrated by the school’s response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis and its welcome of over 50 Ukrainian students into the BSB community.

“I’m absolutely delighted by this award, which is a wonderful recognition of the entire BSB community — my colleagues, our parents, governors, and of course, our wonderful students,” said Principal Melanie Warnes, who attended the ceremony held in central London on 11 October to receive the award.
“We came together at a crucial time and, together, we made a difference in the lives of others. I am very proud that the quality of BSB is recognised on a global level.”

The awards ceremony brought together figures from across the education sector to celebrate the fifth year of these prestigious honours.
Winners were selected by an independent panel from over 700 entries.
