Early Years

The programme for children aged 1 to 5 is based on a play- and exploration-based approach, fostering cognitive, social, and emotional development. Each child develops at their own pace in a caring and stimulating environment, where they can interact with peers, gain independence, and discover the world around them.
Learning is designed to encourage curiosity and resilience, with spaces adapted to support imagination and creativity. Emphasis is placed on language, motor skills, problem-solving, and social skills, within a setting that values positive interaction and sensory discovery. A bilingual French-English programme is also available starting from age 4.
Key Stage 1
> Ages 5 to 7
The programme for ages 5 to 7 combines a playful approach with structured teaching, based on the UK National Curriculum. The day is filled with varied activities centred on experience and inquiry-based learning.
Pupils develop skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and science through interdisciplinary projects and immersive experiences. This method encourages curiosity and creativity while gradually preparing children for their academic journey.
Support programmes such as English as an Additional Language (EAL) and general academic support are available.
Key Stage 2

The programme for students aged 7 to 11 focuses on reinforcing previously acquired skills and preparing them for secondary school. Teaching balances independence, critical thinking, and collaboration.

Outside school hours
BSB offers a wide range of extracurricular activities for all age groups, held during lunch and after school. These activities allow students to explore new interests and enhance their talents. BSB is the only international school in Belgium with its own pool. Its sports centre, opened in 2016, includes world-class gym spaces, a dance studio, and a fitness suite.
The school offers hot meals (including a vegetarian option), a salad bar, sandwiches/paninis, baked potatoes freshly prepared on site, and more.
The school organizes a shuttle service that covers many routes to and from the school.
Small excursions and longer school trips in Belgium and abroad are organized by the school. Most trips are included in the school fees.
